Not because we stopped paying attention — but because we started paying attention to everything else instead. The protocols. The elimination diets. The supplements. The conflicting experts. The shame that lives underneath all of it, quiet and persistent, telling us that if we just followed the rules perfectly we would finally feel well.

The medical and wellness worlds did not teach us to listen to our bodies. They taught us to manage them, optimize them, fix them. And in doing so, they made a lot of women sicker, more anxious, and more disconnected from themselves than they were before.
