Deep Nourishment for Mothers
Where midwifery and nutrition weave together to support your journey through preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum
Your body already knows
how to do this.
Let's give it what it needs.
Personalized nutrition and well-being support for women in the preconception window, through pregnancy, and into the postpartum season — from a Utah-based midwife and perinatal nutritionist.
Who this is for
You've done the research.
You just want someone who will actually go there with you.
You're preparing to conceive and ready to do the work
You want to go into pregnancy with your body ready, not scrambling to catch up. You suspect your nutrition, sleep, or lifestyle could be working harder for your fertility. You're ready to create a nourished foundation.
You're pregnant and craving real guidance
You're getting prenatal care, but nobody is talking to you about what to eat, how much, or why you're barely hanging on by a thread. You want a practitioner who understands pregnancy from the inside out. Who sees you.
You're postpartum and running on empty
You soaked up the challenging and beautiful newborn season. Now you want to actually recover, not just cope. You've suspected for a while that you're depleted, and you're ready to do something about it.
What we do together
This is what it looks like when scientific knowledge meets the midwifery approach to care.
As both a nutritionist and a midwife, I bring a level of clinical depth to this work that most nutrition support simply doesn't have. I know what your body is doing hormonally, physiologically, and nutritionally — and I know how those things talk to each other across the preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum window.
We're going to look at what you're actually eating — the micros, not just the macros — and identify where the gaps are. Then we'll look at everything else: your sleep, your movement, your stress, the patterns you've stopped noticing because they've always been there.
My experience has taught me that real outcomes require addressing all of it, not just handing you a copy-and-paste protocol and sending you home to fend for yourself. You'll leave with a real understanding of what your body has been trying to tell you and the compassionate support along the way to actually implement the changes.
Never about perfection. Always about showing up human and real.
One session per month
60-minute Zoom or in-person sessions — customized to what you need. Three months minimum.
Voxer support between sessions
Questions, wins, hard days — you have access to me between our calls within clear boundaries. This is where the real work happens.
One week of food tracking before we begin
Using Cronometer, so we can see the actual micronutrient picture. Tracking used as body literacy, not punishment, helping to lay the foundation of nourishment instead of restriction.
Lab interpretation support
If you've had labs run, bring them. I'll help you understand what they mean and what to do next — even if the practitioner who ordered them didn't have time to explain. Support in accessing additional labs, if desired, and talking through what and when so you’re not just grasping in the dark.
Partner support available
It takes two people's DNA to make a baby, and sperm quality is half the equation (and can have a significant impact on your health during pregnancy). If your partner wants to clean up his nutrition and lifestyle alongside you, we can include him. This is optional, not required, but the research on paternal health before conception is impossible to ignore. When both parents are nourished and prepared, it shows.
Flexible duration
Three months is the foundation. Many women continue for 4–6 months. We figure out what makes sense for you.
I'm Sarah — a midwife and nutritionist with a master's degree in nutrition and a passion for nourishing women and their babies.
This work is deeper than a wellness offering. It's a revolution.
Most practitioners come at this from one direction. A nutritionist knows food deeply but may not understand what's happening physiologically during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. A midwife knows the body in birth but rarely has the clinical nutrition training to go deep on micronutrients, biochemistry, and what's actually driving depletion at a metabolic and cellular level.
I trained in both — and I use both, every time. That means I understand the biochemistry of nutrition and the physiology of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum from a clinical midwifery perspective. As a midwife, I know how to hold space for the tender, complicated relationship most women have with their bodies — and I bring that same presence to this work.
This work is personal to me — as someone who spent decades depleted, wondering what was wrong with me. I have dedicated my life to untangling what makes womanhood hard and what makes it feel like thriving.
This is the kind of support that builds new patterns for life. Ones that sustain you throughout your years, and the ones your children inherit before they're even born.
Investment
Three months of real, unhurried support.
$500 per month
3-month minimum ($1,500 total)
Includes one 60-minute Zoom session per month, Voxer access between calls, and personalized guidance based on your actual food and lifestyle data. Three months is the minimum — it's the amount of time we need to see real patterns and make meaningful change.
Many women continue for 4–6 months, and some work with me through an entire phase of the perinatal journey (or more). Each month beyond the minimum is billed at the same $500/month rate — no new contract, just a conversation about what makes sense to continue.
Partner support (for preconception clients) is available at an additional fee. We'll discuss this during our intake call.
This is introductory pricing offered while I refine this container with my first clients. It will increase. I take a small number of nutrition clients at a time and each one gets my full attention.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Voxer is a free app that allows us to connect asynchronously — voice, image, text, or video messages, in whatever way feels most natural in the moment.
-
Yes — you can send me messages in the moments that feel most relevant. I'll share some simple guidelines for what kinds of questions will get the most out of our time together. I respond Monday through Thursday, 10am–4pm, and I'll get back to you within 48 hours. If I'm at a birth, it may take a little longer — I'll respond as soon as I can.
-
I'll support you in improving your existing habits and foodways — not overhaul your whole life. Sustainable change that lasts a lifetime means starting with what you already do and making it better. I can help with new meal ideas, especially for the ones that tend to fall through the cracks (lunch, I'm looking at you). The goal is always to help you understand how to keep nourishing yourself well — for life, not just for our time together.
-
Most practitioners offer sessions and protocols without meaningful support in between. Honestly, the way I work isn't the most cost-efficient model — but it's the only way I know how to do this well. I believe education alone doesn't change much. It's the support while you're actually doing it that makes the difference.
-
I ask for one week of baseline tracking before we begin — that's where we discover what micronutrients are actually missing from your diet. Beyond that, more tracking is always helpful, but we'll work with what you're willing and able to do. There are many ways to understand what your body needs, and we'll find the approach that works for you.
-
Yes. I have an office in Orem, Utah where we can meet instead of Zoom.
